Winslow’s 73nd Annual Christmas Parade
Yes…it’s that time of year again. Winslow’s Annual Christmas Parade is just around the corner.
If you are planning on having an entry in this year’s parade we thank you and look forward to what you’re going to bring to the event. There is no fee for participants so if you’re “thinking” about it, may I say, Come On…Just Do It! Winslow has the distinction of having the longest running Annual Christmas Parade in northern Arizona and as you may or may not know, it’s a blast! Thousands come to Winslow from all over the state of Arizona to enjoy and/or participate in the festivities of the day. Food, Arts, Food, Crafts, Food, Toys, Food, Clothing, Food, Jewelry and oh, did I mention foods of all kinds are available for your enjoyment starting in the morning and throughout the day. That being said…the highlight of the day of course, is the parade itself. And I want to acknowledge that all of you who participate as a parade entry continue to amaze and delight me year after year. As well, the crowds of people love it too. We’re so looking forward to seeing what you come up with this year.
Line-up will take place on Second St. and entries MUST check in when they arrive. The check-in point will be at the intersection of Second St and Alfred Ave. The parade begins at 1:00 pm and will travel east on Third to Colorado, turn south for one block and return to the starting location by traveling west on Second. May I say again…entries must check in when arriving! We ask that you enter the parade line-up from the west end of Winslow, west of Alfred Ave. Only vehicles that are actually in the parade will be allowed in the lineup area. Please help us out with this as unauthorized vehicles cause confusion and clog the lineup. Entries should be in place and ready to roll by no later that 12:30 pm.
